The Reglazing Process
Tub and tile reglazing are not easy to do, so only a qualified
professional should do it.
Step 1. Getting Everything Ready
- First, we make sure to cover the surrounding areas and to tape off everything around the fixture that will be reglazed. In case of tiles, we may need to remove the grout.
- All cracks and chips are repaired. We will also remove any sign of rust. The surface of the item is sanded down to remove the old coating.
Step 2. Applying the Primer
- The surface will be cleaned of all dust and debris.
- A primer is applied to the surface of the fixture. This will ensure the coating sticks to the surface.
Step 3. Applying the Coating
- Our expert carefully and uniformly applies one or two layers of coating.
- The coating is left to cure for up to 48 hours, after which you can use the fixture.
